“Discipline is the most fundamental thing needed for people to be at peace with themselves and with others.” Miss Kalimpinya to Rulindo’s youth – Rwanda We Want

“Discipline is the most fundamental thing needed for people to be at peace with themselves and with others.” Miss Kalimpinya to Rulindo’s youth

One day a wise man told me that choices define maturity. The youth have almost everything until it comes to choice making, for the choice you make becomes the key to the path you unlock. Ms. Queen Kalimpinya who is the 3rd Runner up of Miss Rwanda 2017 & chairperson and founder of BAMBE foundation.

It was on a sunny afternoon of September 20th 2018 that Ms. Queen Kalimpinya was going to deliver a very precious package to these students, containing some golden tips on wise choices that have helped her to succeed and achieve every goal that she sets in her life.

She began by listing the three choices she had made: God, Hardwork and Discipline.

Essentially, Ms. Kalimpinya urged the students to work hard in order to achieve their goals, and she gave an example of how someone willing to become a leader in this country must have at least finished high school which requires that individual to work hard during his/her academic life in order to pass. Otherwise, repeating classes would never get that person anywhere near his/her goal.

As much as working hard is the engine of one’s drive to success, it becomes meaningless unless it is accompanied by discipline. “Discipline is the most fundamental thing needed for people to be at peace with themselves and with others.” She declared. Ms. Queen explained that doing the right thing in the right place at the right time is the closest description of the discipline she was talking about.

She conclusively added that one can have everything mentioned above but without the help of God, man is nothing. However, she advised against spending all day in churches or shrines but instead, finding the balance between praying and exercising other activities, is the only way out.

She later added a bonus for the girls in the room; by advising them that they have to be confident, for they can do anything like their brothers or even better than them.
